I pity you. Being limited to getting internet access only on Fridays, would be the ultimate torture test for me. I'd prefer to walk to a local hotspot that to have anything to do with UTECH's internet access

The ultimate soloution would be to swith to FLOW. It is much cheaper in the long run. I'm just loving my 8mb connection. Here, I get the full package, while still getting maximum performance on demand.

Its sounds as if someone needs to give C&W some credit, for finally getting thier act together. Too bad you didn't switch to FLOW. They are much cheaper in the long-run.

256kbps, is still reliable enough to get your work done.
You can use this page to test your connection, if you are ever unsure about your connection speed.
http://speedtest.flowja.com/

It works for all ISP.

This equates to 256kbps. You seem to have a noisy phone line, or your neighbours are sucking up the bandwidth.

A router can also be installed from the actual utility post, which feeds everyone on your street. You can also use a router to split the connection among the PCs you have at home. A defective DSL 'filter', can also hinder your connection speed, as your QoS will have to check for error in data transmission.

Superb, at least there will be a happy end to this story. They will most likely reset your modem, and check for any 'noise' on your phone line.

We've always kept this in mind, but you can't keep singing on this note (when the competition can easily surpass customer's expectations). Lets compare each package provided by C&W, and FLOW for instance....

DSL (narrow band) is now becoming quickly obsolete. The guaranteed efficiency of broad band, is much cheaper in the long run. This does everything, from voIP, to HD cable.
The moment I switched over, I hadn't considered going back since. (there was just this one time, after the recent hurricane).

We still have positive things to say about C&W (Chanz, niqui, Mr. Pyro, make up something quickly).

Hold on a moment. You need to post proof of this. I find this difficult to believe. I'm yet to find anything credible online to prove this. We are indeed deviating from the original topic at hand, so we'll need to end it here.
