Done for ImagineFX Hand Painting workshop. You can find it in Issue 16 (I also made the cover for that one)

My goal was to create a bold mood without adding too much unnecessary detail.
Painted in Photoshop with some help from Painter. Refs for the pendant and marble (you can see it as a custom brush used for the face marks); light and anatomy studies for the character.

Linen done with a custom made brush consisting of a few lines.

When i look at this piece i feel like im the oracle , i kno weird but i just feel like that, it brings me into it....and the necklace is really a very intricate touch, i adore it

I like the depth of the shadows used. The attention paid to facial detail, was also very much liked. The fabric leaving the face partially exposed, was a really nice touch.

i also adore the pose of the hand on the left

wow. i love the detail on the fabric, its almost like i can feel the texture of it. the ruddiness of the cheek is also a nice touch. I don't really think oracle when i see it though.....more like a witch, like the ones from macbeth, although the 3 witches did foretell the future, but they did it with a bit of deceit. Greyfalkin I come!

macbeth yes i rem tht book i loved it, but yea i dont kno but i pictured the witches looking grotesque haha ...this oracle kinda wud bring me to smething in one of the lord of the rings movies

that amulet is soo cool.

Wow Geo, you never cease to amaze me with ur dragons. Anyways, I love the shade and just the whole realism of the picture. The fact that you can barely see here eyes makes it all the more mysterious. I love it. though it's still not as good as madea
