The xillian race was often thought to be unique as their similarity and traits to the now extinct homosapiens were extremely similar,These group also belonged to a extinct species of earth , Namely the (insecta).
These species were thought to be only the drone , or perhaps a sub species of the entire hive.

Biological trait
Being covered by a exoskeleton , it is possible these species goes through extensive shedding or metamorphisis ,though not much is known about the wing, it is certainly immobile.

The xillians act in a very sentient manner , not much is known on why they capped their intellegence to such minimal level, It is believed that a celebrate host exist within the hive colony and researchers are risking their life into the depth of the chambre for idealistic samples.

lol oh well this is an interesting piece, but somehow from looking at it I can feel my intelligence slipping away. The longer I look at this the stupider I feel. U kno wat i'm goin now

i'm not bashing the artwork, but it's just how I feel

mabey its the queen useing telepathy to drain your intellegence

all i can do is laugh i like the piece but i don't think as much work went into this one as did xillian queen but thats just my view, its still good though
